Duvo Does Dallas

My first UFL game in Arlington, Texas at the old Arlington Stadium. The Birmingham Stallions vs Arlington Renegades. Sports have always been a big part of my life. I grew up going to Candlestick Park for baseball and football games so I’ve always had a soft spot for older stadiums. It was amazing to see such a classic venue still being used for UFL, MLS and MLR. It was an absolute treat to get to walk through those tunnels out onto the field, knowing the players that had come before me. There is something hauntingly beautiful about this that I just loved.

I was on assignment for Fujifilm and my goal was to document the use of the new Fujinon Duvo 24-300mm Portable PL Mount Zoom lens. This lens was to be used in the first ever regular season broadcasted UFL game. While I was there I had the amazing opportunity to work alongside veteran sports camera operators. Seeing them work so quickly with such anticipation and experience was jaw dropping. These guys skills were truly on another level and their feedback regarding the lens was fantastic. I was lucky enough to sit down afterwards and hear some of their best sports stories. I felt like a kid around the campfire.

The feeling of being out there on the sidelines never fades, which makes me realize I’m still on the right path. My heart is happy and grateful to my friends that continue to entrust me with these projects.
